We’ve had a good think about the kinds of things that are important to all of our faith communities, and we came up with four; bible, prayer, community and compassion. We’ve agreed to make each of these a spiritual habit, something that we commit to engaging with each day. While we don’t believe that practising these could make God love us any more than he already does, we do realise that they can help us to be more aware of God’s presence with us, and more intentional about how we interact with the world around us.
The beliefs we’ve listed below are similar to many christian churches around the place and we think that they sit well with us too!
We Believe
There are 3 main bits to Cloverdale’s logo; the triquetra, which is a symbol many early christians used to express the three persons of the trinity in perfect relationship, the heart, which represents God’s love, revealed in his son Jesus, and the rippling circle, symbolising the world and the interaction our Faith Communities have with it. When we see it, it reminds us of, ‘God’s love for the world’.
While we recognise these are not the only Spiritual Practices important for our communities, they are the ones that we currently encourage one another to practice reguarly.
