Communities of Faith, or Faith Communities are groups of followers of Jesus who meet regularly to live out the Spiritual Practices and encourage one another to Mission. Communities of faith are formed when someone(s) initiates a call to others to meet in order to share life together, live out the Spiritual Practices together and encourage one another to contribute positively to the wider community.
Communities of faith;
Communities of faith are encouraged to contribute to the larger combined gathering in some way where possible.
Yes. Sunday@10 is an informal worship time with a short talk from a different person each week. You can expect friendly faces, a cuppa and some singing. There is also time for praying and hearing the bible read. On the first Sunday of each month, this group joins with the Combined Monthly Gathering.
The Karen, pronounced Kah- Ren (emphasis on the second syllable), are indigenous to the Thailand-Burma border region in Southeast Asia and are one of the many ethnic groups in Burma. There are Karen people throughout the country presently known as Burma or Myanmar. Geelong, Victoria is home to many Karen and CCF has approximately 200 Karen people involved in every aspect of CCF’s life and calling.
Cloverdale does not actively seek donations or financial offerings. This is to encourage Faith Communities to give generously to missional and compassionate purposes of their choice. Some Covenant Partners choose to donate via direct debit or through a donations box at the church centre. Cloverdale does actively seek ways of utilising existing property to provide income to cover ongoing administration expenses.
Cloverdale is overseen by an Eldership team and a Team Facilitator who is part of the Eldership. The current Team Facilitator is Danny Krivan.
We believe;
REP is shorthand for ‘Representative’. A REP is elected by each community in order to maintain good communication. All REPS meet monthly with the Team Facilitator for mutual encouragement communication and preparing for the Combined Monthly Gathering. CBCF strongly encourages each community to share the role of REP around.
